The Spring 2010 Short Story Prompt Challenge was a huge success. A total of nine submissions were posted, and we discovered a lot.
There were some interesting correlations. We had three retold fairy tales and several not-so-happy endings. Many of us had to struggle to keep it down to the short story length, yet we all succeeded. None of us turned in something that failed to be complete and stand alone.
Overall, we learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and critiqued like crazy. We were the loudest, laughingest group in our busy meeting place, that’s for sure!
Our next challenge, of course, is to revise and proofread all those stories and send them out to publishers. Let’s get to work.
