We are eager for new members! To join us, simply show up at the next meeting and see if you like our process and our company. If so, we will sign you up!
We are looking for members who want to improve their writing ability, with an interest in furthering their writing career in the long term. Critiques both given and gotten improve the work, and meeting to discuss both motivates the writer and teaches the craft. This is what our group is about.
Members are asked to be active writers or critiquers, with an expectation to have around 1000 words per week in fiction and/or critique for the group. All critiques are delivered face to face in the meetings, to allow for discussion and to keep our group dynamic person to person.
Our group writes for commercial audiences in many genres, including but not limited to flash fiction, literary fiction, science fiction, YA fiction, romance, erotica, fantasy and horror. We are open to reading and critiquing any genre of fiction and ask that new members do the same.
When submitting your work there is a limit of one document per week with a 6,000 limit. Work for that week must be submitted by the Wednesday prior to the Sunday meeting. This is to insure that everyone can read the submissions before the next meeting.
